Interior mats

Hi,
Does anybody know if interior floor mats from the Mk2 would fit in a Mk1?

I never found out if the mk2 mats fitted A mk1, but I did find A tailor which had the template for the mats.
The new one is A much better fit than the old ones, with possible didn't was the right fit in the first place, I see that quite obvious now with the new mats in place.
Picture is the best I can do now, while its in hibernation
